Welcome to cacygVT

Welcome to the home of Community Alliance Church Youth Group of Vermont – cacygVT.

It seems like teens are on the computer or some social networking site every moment of every day.  So here is our attempt to meet today’s high school students, middle school students, and their parents where they are at.  So come along and join the fun.  Read through the posts and add your own comments.  It is our hope that through scripture and discussion that we might see and know a God who is real, relevant to our lives today, and relational – He cares about each of us.

Thanks for visiting.

BEAC[O]N is our Sunday evening youth group for all high school students in grades 9-12.  We have fun, hang out together, worship together, and do our best to venture out of the box – spurring on real discussions that matter today.  We meet from 6:00-8:00 at Community Alliance Church.

FlashPoint is our Sunday evening youth group for all middle school students in grades 6-8.  With everything from games, activities, food, worship, devotionals, and discussion; it’s a real one stop shop.  FlashPoint meets from 6:00-8:00 at Community Alliance Church.

/MSS is short for Middle School Service.  Bridging the gap between Children’s Ministry and the regular service, CAC wants to connect with our 5th-8th graders in a way that is relevant to them.  Our hope is that families will talk together about what they’ve heard on Sundays.  The topics and focus of MSS is closely tied to the topics and focus of the regular service just with a middle school twist. /MSS meets during the second service every Sunday except the 1st Sunday of every month.

Events – We see events as critical in the spiritual development of our students.  It’s during these trips, retreats, and conferences that our teens can hear more clearly from God without all the noise of everyday life.
